Collaborating with an outstanding lab, we use state-of-the-art materials so that your restoration will last for many years.

Are You a Candidate for Dentures?

If you are missing all or a large number of your teeth, you are likely a candidate for dentures. We offer several types of dentures, and after a thorough consultation, we can determine the right type for you. Options include:

  • Traditional full dentures: If you are missing all of your teeth, and you are looking for a simple, reasonably priced restoration, traditional dentures may be right for you.
  • Traditional partial dentures: A partial denture may be appropriate if you are missing more than three adjacent teeth.
  • Implant-supported dentures: Implant-supported dentures are available as both full and partial restorations. If you have a strong jawbone, and you desire the most lifelike prosthetic possible, you may be a candidate for this type of restoration. In addition, you must be healthy enough to undergo implant surgery.

Designing, Fitting, and Placing Dentures

Before providing your denture, your dentist will take impressions of your gums and any remaining teeth. Our lab will use these molds, along with photos of your smile, to craft your denture. A traditional denture will have a plastic base that will match the color of your gums. This base will fit securely around your alveolar ridge, the bony area just under your teeth. If you receive a traditional denture, the prosthetic will also have small metal clips that will connect to your adjacent teeth. With our attention to detail, our dentures will fit comfortably, and they will rarely slip out of place. In addition, our lab uses advanced materials. Therefore, your new teeth will match the color and sparkle of your natural smile.

To provide an implant-supported denture, your dentist will perform implant surgery. After administering local anesthesia and, typically, IV sedation, he or she will place several implant posts in your jaw. Your dentist will use the fewest number of posts possible while still providing a secure foundation for your prosthetic. After you have healed, you will receive your permanent restoration, attached to the tops of the implants. While you are waiting, we will provide a temporary denture.

How Can Dentures Benefit You?

Obviously, a denture will greatly improve your appearance. Not only will the restoration complete your smile. It will also fill out your lips and cheeks for a more youthful look. The denture will also restore your oral function so that you can eat and speak normally. With your complete smile, you will enjoy an improved sense of self-confidence.

An implant-supported denture will have further benefits. First, your restoration will be even more secure than a traditional removable prosthetic. It will never slip out of place, and you can enjoy all of your favorite foods, even those that are normally off limits with dentures. Second, it will look very authentic, since it will not require a plastic base or metal clips. Finally, the implant posts will replace your dental roots. In turn, they will send regenerative signals to your jaw, which will prevent jawbone recession, further tooth loss, and changed facial contours.
